Jennifer Aniston House: Bel Air Mansion has Ocean View and a Vineyard!
Jennifer Aniston is officially the Hollywood queen of real estate.
She just treated herself to an early birthday present: a new mansion in California’s Bel Air neighborhood, according to a TMZ report. She reportedly paid $21 million for the property, $3 million less than the asking price. The deal should be finalized on Wednesday.
The property takes up nearly two acres, and the house has more than 8,000 square feet of space. There are four bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus city and ocean views. The property also has a small vineyard, so the actress may not have to look too far to find a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner.
The buy comes after Aniston sold her Beverly Hills mansion in 2011. That house had a tiny less than 10,000 square feet and went through some intense renovation, according to the housing Web site Hooked On Houses. She discussed her decision to sell that house with People magazine.
“I could not sleep and I sort of had one of those moments where I went, I really need to simplify,” she told People. “My life needs to be simplified and clear out the clutter.”
Aniston made another major buy last year: an apartment in New York City’s Gramercy neighborhood.
She has been shacking up with actor and and screenwriter beau Justin Theroux in a two-bedroom rental in Hollywood Hills, according to a Daily Mail report.
Judging by the pics posted by TMZ of the new house, and pics of the actress’ old mansion posted by Architectural Digest, her new digs appear to be much lighter and airier, with more windows to grant for plenty of natural lighting.
So, will Aniston and Theroux live together in her new mansion?
Things do seem to be going well for the couple. They were spotted over the weekend on a double date with Aniston’s “Horrible Bosses” costar, Jason Bateman, and his wife, Amanda Anka, looking “attentive and coupley,” according to a People magazine report.
They are costarring in the upcoming comedy “Wanderlust,” which hits theatres on Feb. 24. The motion picture is about a married couple, played by Aniston and Paul Rudd, who lose their wealth and decide to try living on a commune.
Hot date. New movie. And now a new home. Aniston, you go, girl!
