“Casa Familia” is an impressive residential project from Kevin deFreitas Architects located in San Diego, USA. Its total building area is 3,460 square feet, which makes it “roomy” enough for the six persons living inside.
The purpose was to build a home that was green and efficient, meaning that all efforts were guided towards integrating low energy consuming systems that would reduce costs and the usage of various resources. Even though the initial investment for such energy efficient add-ons was high, the clients are sure that it was definitely worth it when thinking of the long term consequences.
