The Essen-based housing corporation Vivawest is launching a pilot project with parcel lockers in Duisburg and Dinslaken together with Deutsche Post DHL. The stations are designed to reduce delivery traffic in the neighborhoods and provide tenants with a secure dispatch and pickup location for packages around the clock. The project could have a signaling effect for other housing companies seeking solutions for the growing flood of parcels in their properties. Vivawest is one of the first major housing companies to systematically test parcel lockers in its facilities.
